20th February 2021

I had an appointment with Dr Murray yesterday, and I couldn’t be more grateful for her time and expertise. I previously had a series of interactions with Doctors who had not helped me at all, so when I began speaking to Dr Murray I was not full of hope. Despite my scepticism, Dr Murray listened, asked questions and took my full health history into consideration before suggesting a route to diagnosis. May 2013 I started looking for answers to my symptoms. I got this answer yesterday- February 2021. I never thought I was going to get to this point. I became embarrassed by the amount of times I had to ask for help and how many times I went to so many departments where Doctors would perform lots of tests looking for answers, each time resulting in “normal ranges”. This news is (of course) a relief... but is short lived when there seems to be no end point to the ongoing conversation of why these things are happening in my body. I can’t count how many times I’ve felt drained of hope when exiting a Doctors office. However... finally- someone looked outside the realm of normal testing and took me seriously, and I could not be more grateful and appreciative that our paths crossed. I’m overwhelmed by the experience of talking to a Doctor who is 1) incredibly knowledgeable on ALL aspects of Neurology (and not only partial areas) 2) who had an unwavering compassion in her approach and 3) who genuinely cared about me. I cannot say enough great things about Dr Murray and wish that anyone going through something similar to me if afforded the opportunity to discuss their health concerns with this Doctor. Thank you Dr Murray.

Dr Rosanne Murray took time on the phone with me asking me lots of questions and really listening to my concerns and what symptoms I was experiencing, which were unusual and not fully fitting into less serious conditions. Previous Doctors had trivialised my symptoms and I felt in the past I hadn't been taken seriously. Because Dr Rosanne Murray took more time with me I beleive she was able to distinct better between what could be going on, and because she made a decision to have an MRI done, I have now been told whats going on, it's not great news but I am so lucky now it can be dealt with and will most likely be okay now. So I am grateful to her for not rushing, not guessing and really investigating what was going on with me. I was emotional when I received results and she handled it perfectly reassuring me and allowing me a tearful moment not rushing of the phone but ensuring I fully understood. Thank you so much for how you have handled things with me.
